I'm Luca, a composer and pianist originally from Genoa, Italy, now based in vibrant Hamburg, Germany. My musical journey blends Western classical roots with diverse influences, ranging from jazz, pop, electronics, a lot of folk music, and even DJing!

I've been fortunate to showcase my compositions at prestigious festivals and residencies worldwide, such as Mostly Modern Festival (Netherlands 2023), Arteles (Finland 2022), Cellosmagics (Spain 2022), Voices Of Spirit (Austria 2021) and others, and I got my works premiered by incredible musicians such as Dior Quartet (Canada), Severine Ballon (France), Talla Rouge (USA), Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini (Italy), and many others.

As a pianist, I am touring with a new solo program, "Impro-visions," where I blend written music and improvisation in different styles, continuously adapting with the audience.

To sum up my approach to composition, here’s one of my favourite quote (it’s by Haydn) "How can you guess if you've composed a good piece of music? Try to sing the melody without the accompaniment!" - I think it reflects my continuous focus on the essence of what we call cantabile, which is a fancy italian word for “something you can sing”.

What do I do in my free time? I like to draw, and play an unhealthy amount of chess!
